This May marks 80 years since the liberation and 85 years since the beginning of the German occupation. In the coming months, the Netherlands will do a lot of commemorating and celebrating. We are also joining in with a themed exhibition on Flugplatz Katwijk. This is what the Germans called Valkenburg airfield during World War II. The exhibition can be seen in the visitor centre from Saturday 19 April.

Among other things, we show previously unpublished photos and information about the occupation years, beautifully made models of German aircraft and a large scale model. You will also be able to meet a Luftwaffe pilot. The exhibition will be on display throughout the year. Admission is – of course – free.
